Doctors and Soccer

As difficult as it is to believe, our little baby had his 2 month check earlier this month (I began this post when it was still May). He passed the 2 foot mark (24 3/4", which is 97%) and weighs nearly 13 pounds (12 lbs 13 oz, 75%). He sure is a growing boy! Sadly, this check also brought his first round of vaccines, 5 in total. One was a drink and he had two shots in each thigh. He took it like a champ and barely even cried. We sure love our little man.

The day after his doctor's visit we went to a Sounders game. Josh got tickets from work (box seats!) and Josh, Eli, Uncle Dan, and I all went to the game. From what I saw, it was a great game. Elijah had a bit of a rough go during the first half so neither Josh nor I saw much of it, but we got to watch the second half (Eli was asleep) and it was fantastic. The fist half was probably one of the worst crying fits Eli has ever had. It was absolutely terrible and I'm still not sure exactly what was wrong. It may have been a result of the vaccines the day before, he may have been overstimulated and just couldn't unwind, or he may have just felt like crying his heart out for 40 minutes. Oi. But after wearing himself (and his parents) out he finally crashed and slept quite soundly for most of the second half. It was the first Sounders game for the little guy and I and hopefully it won't be the last.

Before the game began. Go Sounders!
