Dragons and Christmas trees

Not too many pictures have been taken around here lately. It's regrettable considering the lapse in picture taking came during Halloween and Thanksgiving. We took just a few pictures of Eli in his Halloween costume but it was at the end of the night and he was tired and not particularly cooperative by then. Halloween was a lot of fun though. Some friends invited us over for dinner and then the children went trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. This was our first Halloween in our house and it was really fun to see all the kids going around.

Eli the Dragon or Dinosaur. You can pick.

Resting after pillaging the village.

The week before Thanksgiving my family came to visit. It was great to have everyone together again. We didn't take any pictures though, we were too busy having fun, eating food, and playing volleyball. Also, my dad was able to fix our freezer, which has leaked since we moved in. Yay!

The following week was actual Thanksgiving. After the hustle and bustle of the previous week it was nice to have just our family for Thanksgiving. The Saturday after Thanksgiving we went with some friends to get Christmas trees. We got our first snow that morning, which made getting to the trees a little more interesting, but a lot prettier.

I love this view

Eli didn't love the snow. Or at least, he didn't love his snowsuit, boots, and gloves. He played in the snow for a few minutes and then remembered that he didn't like his boots. No boots meant staying inside the car, which he loved. So Eli and I hung out in the car while Josh and Luna hunted for a tree.

Luna is sporting her sweet dog coat. I made it the night before from a t-shirt and some old fleece that just happened to be dog prints. Not very fancy but it seemed to do the trick.

Josh and Luna.

Success! Or something like it. It's a bit of a Charley Brown tree but at least we got one.

Pretty, pretty

Decorating the tree. Eli loved the Christmas lights.

We are looking forward to Christmas and all the holiday festivities. After it's all said and done, who knows, maybe we will have a few more pictures to share?
