It's a Blessing

Eli's baby blessing took place a few weeks ago. In total we had 21 of our family members who were able to come and it was absolutely wonderful to have them there. I was worried the little man would cry during the blessing but he didn't make a peep. And he waited until the ride home before having an exploding poo all over his blessing outfit. Good going little man!

For me, the best part of the weekend was having four of Eli's great grandparents there. I love that Eli has so many of his great grandparents who are still alive and kicking. We plan on having them around for years to come, but it sure meant a lot to have them there.

The Conley Family (minus Jereme and Christy. We missed you guys!)

The Mendenhall Family, plus one Walker Grandma (missing Scott and Anita)

This is the best picture we have of The Pants, Eli, and I. By this point Eli was quite unhappy and I was more interested in going back inside than getting a good picture.

Four generations of Mendenhalls

Four generations of Walkers

Four generations of Conley men (This is my favorite of all the four generation pictures. I LOVE it!)

Eli wore the same outfit Josh was blessed in. Since you couldn't see it in any of the family pictures the intention was to take some pictures when we got home. However, as previously mentioned, he had an exploding poo on the drive home that made that intention impossible. We put him back in the outfit a week or so later and by then he had grown enough that he was bursting at the seams.

It was a great weekend and we are so grateful that most of our family could be there to share it with us.

  1. What a great post! I hadn't heard about the explosion on the way home. :) Those post-blessing pictures are just so cute! He is such a sweetie and I'm so glad we live close so we can see him grow up.
