Two Weeks Old

Eli had his two week check-up on Friday and he seems to be doing pretty well. He grew almost 2 inches and gained 11 oz. He lost 4 ounces after birth so the 11 ounce weight gain is based on that lower weight, not on his birth weight. So he is now 21 and 3/4" long (90th percentile) and 8 lbs 11.5 oz (55th percentile). Going to the doctor's office tuckered him out

It's a Birthday!

Please welcome the newest member of our little family. Elijah Clayton Conley was born at 7:11 am on Saturday March 16th. He weighed in at 8 lbs 4 oz and was 20 inches long. This little man won us over with his first little cries and we are loving him more and more each day. For those of you who are interested in how it went down, the narrative is below the pictures. Friday was my last day at work and it was marvelous. I will miss the people but I won't miss the job one bit. As a going away present one of my coworkers made a dual sided picture frame with two rather fond memories from my time at FTI. We would regularly prank each other and these two pictures are from two of the said pranks, of which I was on the receiving end both times. My wedding picture was replaced by this beauty while I was out on vacation. Meet Mr Hasselhoff and Ms Paltrow The second one requires a bit more of an explanation. Somehow it came to light that I posses rubber-band shooting skills that are far superior than those of my coworkers. I am able to shoot a rubber band further, faster, and more accurately than anyone in my office. Let's just say if this were a marketable skill I would be VERY marketable. Because of this my coworkers saw it fitting to cover my monitors, keyboard, scanner, phone, and everything else they could manage in rubber bands. You ca
